OLED stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode. This technology
provides excellent display of images with more accurate colors,
higher contrast, higher brightness, and wider viewing angle.
Q2. How many
photos can I put on Pocket Album OLED 1.5?
You can hold 124 images on Pocket Album OLED 1.5.
Q3. What is
the size and resolution of the screen?
Pocket Album has a 1.5" OLED screen with resolution of 128
x 128 pixels.
Q4. Can I run
a photo slideshow? Can I adjust slideshow intervals?
Yes, you can choose to manually scroll through the photos or run
an automatic photo slideshow. You can adjust the slideshow interval
among: 5, 10, 30 seconds; and 1, 5, 10, 15 minutes.
Q5. Is there
any sort of "shuffle mode" to randomize the order of photo playback?
Yes, you can choose to play the photos in random. Change Random
setting to On under Menu Options. When Random is off, photos will
be displayed in the order that you organized via the Photo Manager
Software.
Q6. How do I
delete photos on my Pocket Album OLED?
While viewing a particular photo on Pocket Album OLED 1.5, you
can press MENU and select DELETE to delete that photo. Or, use
the Photo Manager Software to delete the photo(s).
Q7. How do I
add photos to Pocket Album OLED 1.5?
Transfer your photos from your computer to Pocket Album OLED via
the included Photo Manager Software. Select the photos that are
stored on your computer. The Photo Manager Software lets you crop
and rotate photos you wish to transfer, before automatically resizing
them for optimal storage and display on the device.
Q8. Can I use
Pocket Album OLED as a removable drive? Can I transfer photos
from my computer directly onto Pocket Album OLED by click-and-drag?
No, Pocket Album OLED cannot be accessed on the computer directly
as a removable drive. You have to transfer your photos from the
computer to Pocket Album OLED via the Photo Manager Software.
Q9. Does Pocket
Album OLED software support both Windows and Mac OS?
Yes, Pocket Album OLED 1.5 supports Windows Vista/XP/2000 and
Mac 10.4 & 10.5.

Q10. Which
image formats are supported?
You can transfer JPG, TIF, GIF, PNG, and BMP images from your
computer to Pocket Album OLED via the Photo Manager Software.
Q11. Can
I arrange the order of the photos on by Pocket Album OLED 1.5?
You can arrange the sequence of the photos via the Photo Manager
Software on Windows OS. This option is not available on the Mac
software.
Q12.How long
is the battery life of Pocket Album OLED 1.5?
Pocket Album OLED runs on Lithium-Polymer battery with up to approximately
5 hours of battery life on a full charge.
Q13. How do
I recharge the battery? How long does it take to recharge an empty
battery?
You can charge the battery either by the included USB-AC power
adapter or by USB power from your computer.
It may take up to 5 hours to fully charge Pocket Album OLED when
the battery is completely empty.
The recommended way to charge the battery is to turn off the device
to shorten the charging time. The battery will charge more quickly
when the device is turned off. Also, charging the Pocket Album
OLED battery by connecting it to the USB-AC adapter will be faster
than charging it by connecting to your computer USB port. When
the device is turned off, it takes approximately 4 hours to recharge
battery to 90% full (4.5 hours of battery life) by AC power when
the Pocket Album OLED battery is completely empty.
Q14. Tips
for selecting photos for Pocket Album OLED.
Here are some tips to help you create the best images from your
photos to display on the 1.5” Pocket Album OLED
screen:
1. Start with high-resolution images. These images will result
in better image quality when cropped.
2. Select images with less complex backgrounds.
3. Crop photos to show face shots or close-ups.
Q15. I am
having trouble running the Photo Manager Software.
Your Pocket Album must be connected to your computer before you
run the Photo Manager Software.
Q16. How can
I reset my Pocket Album OLED if it freezes?
In the case that Pocket Album OLED encounters an error and freezes,
you can reset it by connecting it to the computer or USB-AC adapter
via USB. You will not lose any photos saved on your Pocket Album
OLED.
Q17. I’m
using Windows OS, I can start the Photo Viewer Software, but I
am having trouble locating my photos that are stored in the “My
Pictures” folder on my computer.
For Windows XP users:
Please browse to C:/Documents and settings/(Username)/My documents/My
Pictures.
For Windows Vista users:
Please browse to C:/(Username)/Pictures.
Q18. I’m
using Mac OS, I can start the Photo Viewer Software, but I am
having trouble locating my photos in iPhoto on my computer.
On Mac, please browse to /Users/(Username)/Pictures/iPhoto Library
to locate your photos.
Q19. When
I load photos onto my Pocket Album OLED 1.5, some of the photos
are 1/2 white or completely white. How do I fix this?
This is happening because the signal being transferred to your
device to the computer is experiencing some noise. To fix this,
we recommend that you save the entire set of photos that you are
trying to load to the Pocket Album OLED 1.5 as a collection. Then,
reconnect your device, remove all the photos, and load the entire
collection and transfer them to your device again. Trying a different
USB cable or different USB ports might also help.
Q20. When
I connect my device to my computer, the photos that show up in
the collection panel of the Photo Manager software are scrambled,
but I'm sure that the photos on the device are normal.
This is happening because the signal that is being transferred
from your device to the computer is experiencing some noise. While
you are seeing these photos as scrambled on the computer, the
photos will still show up correctly on the device. You can also
still add photos normally.
If you need to view the photos correctly on the computer, please
disconnect the device and close the Photo Manager Software. Then,
reconnect the device to your computer and re-start the Photo Manager
Software to re-load the photos again.
