Q1. How many photos can I put on Pocket Album?

You can hold up to 74 images on Pocket Album.


Q2. What is the size and resolution of the screen?

Pocket Album has a 1.5" screen with resolution of 128 x 128 pixels.


Q3. Can I run a photo slideshow? Can I adjust slideshow intervals?

Yes, you can choose to manually scroll through the photos or run an automatic photo slideshow. You can adjust the slideshow interval from 5 seconds up to 120 seconds.


Q4. Is there any sort of "shuffle mode" to randomize the order of photo playback?

No you can play the photos in random. Photos will be displayed in the order that you organized via the Photo Viewer Software.

Q5. How do I delete photos on my Pocket Album?  

While viewing a particular photo on Pocket Album, you can press MENU and select DELETE to delete that photo. Or, use the Photo Viewer Software to delete the photo(s).


Q6. Can I adjust the screen brightness on Pocket Album?

Yes, you can adjust the LCD brightness on Pocket Album. The higher the value, the brighter the screen and the higher the optimal viewing angle. Adjust the LCD contrast to select the best viewing angle for your use.

 
Q7. Does Pocket Album have an automatic on/off timer?

Yes, Pocket Album has a on-board clock. You can also set the automatic on/off timer on it.


Q8. How do I add photos to Pocket Album?

Transfer your photos from your computer to Pocket Album via the included Photo Viewer Software. The Photo Viewer Software lets you crop and rotate photos you wish to transfer, before automatically resizing them for optimal storage and display on the device. The Photo Viewer Software supports JPEG and BMP images.


Q9. Can I download image directly from a camera or memory card to Pocket Album?

Please note that that you cannot download images directly from a camera to the Pocket Album. Your photos (JPG or BMP images) must be transferred from your computer and via the included Photo Viewer Software (compatible with Windows Vista/XP/2000, and Mac 10.3 & 10.4). The Photo Viewer Software lets you crop and rotate photos you wish to transfer, before automatically resizing them for optimal storage and display on the device.

Yes, Pocket Album supports Windows Vista/XP/2000 and Mac 10.3 & 10.4.

Q11. Which image formats are supported?

You can transfer JPEG and BMP images from your computer to Pocket Album via the Photo Viewer Software.


Q12.How long is the battery life of Pocket Album?

Pocket Album runs on 3.7V 210mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery with up to 9 hours of battery life on a full charge.


Q13. How do I recharge the battery? How long does it take to recharge an empty battery?

Pocket Album will display a “battery low” warning when the battery is running low. Easily recharge the battery with included USB-AC adapter or with USB power by connecting it to your computer. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge an empty battery on Pocket Album.


Q14. Tips for selecting photos for Pocket Album.

Here are some tips to help you create the best images from your photos to display on the 1.5” Pocket Album
screen:
1. Start with high-resolution images. These images will result in better image quality when cropped.
2. Select images with less complex backgrounds.
3. Crop photos to show face shots or close-ups.

Q15. I am having trouble running the Photo Viewer Software.

Your Pocket Album must be connected to your computer before you run the Photo Viewer program.

For Windows:
If your Pocket Album's serial number (located on the back of the device) falls below 131002000, the Photo Viewer Software will not run directly from the Resource Disc. Please either:

1) Copy the entire Photo Viewer Software folder to your computer's hard drive and run the program from your computer's hard drive, or

2) Download the updated software here » [1.2 MB], and install it on your computer.

For Mac:
Please download the software here » [1.0 MB] and run it on your computer. Double-click the "Digital Photo Viewer 1.0.0 MAC OS X" icon on the desktop and select Install. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

To run the software: First connect Pocket Album to your computer. Next, double-click the desktop icon, or browse Applications from Finder to start the program.


Q16. I am having trouble connecting Pocket Album to the computer. The software says "Device not detected".

1) Make sure you download the newest version of the software from our website (see Q15).

2) Make sure you connect Pocket Album to your computer before running the software.
> After connecting the Pocket Album to your computer, you will see on its screen 2 options: USB Charge and USB Update. At this point, you need to select “USB Update” before running the Photo Viewer Software.
> To select “USB update,’ press the DOWN button to move the cursor next to ‘USB Update,’ and press MENU to select it.

Wait about 30 seconds to make sure that the device is connected.

3) Now you can run the Software by double-clicking on the desktop icon. The Photo Viewer Software screen should open up.

If the above steps do not work, please restart your computer and try again.


Q17. I’m using Windows OS, I can start the Photo Viewer Software, but I am having trouble locating my photos that are stored in the “My Pictures” folder on my computer.

For Windows XP users:
Please browse to C:/Documents and settings/(Username)/My documents/My Pictures.

For Windows Vista users:
Please browse to C:/(Username)/Pictures.


Q18. I’m using Mac OS, I can start the Photo Viewer Software, but I am having trouble locating my photos in iPhoto on my computer.

On Mac, please browse to /Users/(Username)/Pictures/iPhoto Library to locate your photos.
